June 4, 2007 FROM SHANNON
Wow, time goes by so fast. After beating Canada 6-2 in Texas on May 13th (weren’t we sharp in our pink uniforms, and what a good cause, fighting breast cancer) I flew to San Jose to spend time with my sister, Gillian.

Bomdia everyone,
We finally made it to Portugal. I have been awake since 4:30am yesterday and am trying to stay awake as long as possible to help get adjusted to the new time zone.
February 13, 2007 REHAB AND TRAINING IN TACOMA WASHINGTON
How is everybody's new year going so far? 2007 is already moving along at a fast pace. I can't believe its already a world cup year again. Time has gone by so fast. 4 years ago I was just a rookie on the national team and now with all our young players I am considered a veteran. I am very excited about the new year. 2006 wasn't a year I would like to repeat. With 4 surgeries (torn miniscus in my left knee, labrium tear in my right hip, torn MCL and ACL in my right knee) and the longest time away from playing in a soccer match I am ready for a great 2007.

June 7, 2006 THE BILLIES
At the end of our first block in residency I got to take part in a great event for women’s sports called, “The Billies” “The Billies” was an event that recognized excellence in the media coverage of women’s sports and was also a fundraiser to help promote opportunities for girls and women. As part of the Women’s Sports Foundation which was founded by Billie Jean King, an amazing woman who has fought to help progress girls and women in sports, “The Billies” was held in Beverly Hills on April 20th. To find out more about the women’s sports foundation take a look at their website at
